Dehradun, 24 May: A special meeting of ‘Apna Pariwar’ was held at 7 Race Course Road and was attended by a large number of members. They expressed their views about the way people should respond to others’ need for help. Apna Pariwar is a social organisation that works for general welfare and members meet to imbibe the spirit of service and brotherhood that extends help when required during emergency at odd hours.
The meeting was addressed by Purshottam Bhatt, Chairman, Apna Pariwar. He described the qualities needed in people who could help each other at odd hours. Such people had to be devoted and selfless and ready to help others at one call. He was happy that so many people had assembled, especially women, without bothering about commitment to their own needs.
Prominent among the others who spoke included Gaurav Tripathi, Dinesh Sharma, Pratibha Sharma, Dr Rakesh Kala, Abha Sharma, Ravindra Anand, Sunil Sharma, Asha, Deepak Panwar and others. Brig KG Behl (Retd), Patron of the Society, was felicitated along with others. Brig Behl appreciated the spirit of the people present. He said one should always feel young and active with the spirit of helping others.
