CM holds review of Revenue Dept

Dehradun, 1 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today held a review meeting of the Revenue Department at the Secretariat. During the review, he directed the officials to ensure that people do not need to go to the tehsil to obtain authorised copies of the Khatauni of the land owned by them.
The CM directed that, for this, arrangements must be made by 15 July for deposit of the prescribed fee through online medium and for providing of the authorised copy of Khatauni which can be downloaded by the applicants. The Chief Minister said that hearing in revenue courts should be made mandatory two days a week. If a magistrate is unable to sit in the court on the date due to any reason, then he must clearly mention it in the court diary.
Dhami also issued strict instructions that the proceedings of mutation of land should be completed within the stipulated time period. He directed the Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioners to regularly review the settlement of the cases of mutation and revenue courts. He directed that the services being provided under the Right to Service under the ‘Apuni Sarkar Portal’ should be provided to the people within the stipulated time period. He added that for this accountability of the officers concerned be fixed in case of any negligence. He said that maximum services of the Revenue Department should be linked to the Apuni Sarkar Portal. Arrangements for sitting, drinking water and other basic facilities should be made for the people visiting tehsils. The CM also directed the Garhwal and Kumaon Commissioners and District Magistrates to inspect various arrangements of tehsils from time to time.
Dhami asserted that the process of updation or revision in case of the Khataunis be expedited. The new database of Khatadaars/co-Khatadaars (sccount holders) recorded in Khataunis should also be prepared in time. He directed the revenue officials to conduct survey of the entire land recorded in revenue records using modern methods at the earliest.
Vice Chairman, Infrastructure Monitoring Council, Vishwas Dawar, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli, Chandresh Yadav, Additional Secretary Vijay Jogdande were among those present at the meeting.
