Army Cycle Expedition flagged off from Pithoragarh to Adi Kailash

Dehradun, 26 May: World Bicycle Day occurs on 3 June and World Environment Day on 5 June. A Kumaon Battalion, under the aegis of Panchshul Brigade, started a 10 day cycle expedition from Pithoragarh to Adi Kailash to promote adventure in the Army while showcasing the rich history, diverse landscapes, hidden gems of religious tourist attractions, and inception of new vibrant villages along the border areas in Kumaon region.

The cycle expedition was flagged off by Brigadier SPS Chouhan, Commander, Panchshul Brigade, today.

Spanning over 10 days covering challenging terrain and breathtaking landscapes, the expedition team comprising one Officer, one Junior Commissioned Officer and fifteen Other Ranks will visit important religious tourism sites such as Om Parvat, Kailash Mansarovar route, recently nominated vibrant village i.e Gunji, culminating at Adi Kailash a revered destination for pilgrims globally.
