Dehradun, 26 May: In a world where age typically defines success, a few stories challenge the standard. Meet Manvendra Bisht, also known as MK, a remarkable 15-year-old author from Haldwani, whose writing skill has captivated the globe. MKS’s path as a writer has been miraculous, with his exceptional skill and engaging stories grabbing hearts and minds.
MKS had a profound love of language and storytelling from a young age. Encouraged by his father, his role model, he began writing short stories and poetry, demonstrating maturity beyond his years. His words struck a chord with readers, taking them to enchanted places and provoking a spectrum of emotions. He staunchly believes that “Writing should not be considered the process of making money”.
He writes in various genres like fiction, fantasy, etc. Story writing is not the only thing that the young soul enjoys doing. He is also into doing book reviews and scriptwriting; he has founded the media marketing company, MKS Bisht Entertainment.
MKS’s talent has not been overlooked. His work began to acquire attention through an online platform called ‘Stck.me’. One of his most liked novels is ‘The Lady Wizard’.
MKS stayed committed to his studies even as his literary career blossomed. It was difficult for him to balance the responsibilities of academics with his passion for writing, but he persevered. His perseverance and discipline have helped him retain academic achievement while pursuing his aspirations. He is currently studying in the 10th grade at ‘Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning’.
In a world where many teenagers are running towards vice, MKS believes not a single teenager should do any kind of drugs and alcohol as they are the “future of the nation”. He believes that every teenager should pursue their hobby and do the thing in which they find happiness. His path reminds us all that aspirations may be realised at any age and that passion has no bounds. As we watch this exceptional young writer develop, we can only fathom the literary miracles he will create.
MKS’s inspiration has been his father, who got him novels like Atomic Habits, Rich Dad Poor Dad, which inspired him to publish his own work. His father, Dr Manish Bisht, is a knowledgeable man who is Director of the Graphic Era Haldwani campus. His mother is a home maker who has always supported him in his work. He believes that his parents are his support system which drives him to do what he really enjoys. His reading habits helped him to express his feelings through words which led him to enjoy and express his emotions and thoughts.
