Aryan Group donates food to help lockdown affected

DEHRADUN, 23 Apr: The Aryan Group, before the lockdown, distributed free masks and sanitisers in Haridwar district with the permission of DM C Ravishankar and CMO Saroj Naithani in Haridwar District, and also put up awareness posters, pamphlets and banners at many places. It also inspected the public toilets of Dehradun and distributed soap where there was no soap.
Since the lockdown, ration is being distributed to the daily wage labourers in various settlements, as also some amount of money to those in difficult circumstances so that people can buy their medicines and necessary items.
The Founder and President of the organisation, Faizi Aleem states that while distributing ration, the organisation follows social distancing with the cooperation of police and the administration in slums like Sapera Basti, Kath Bangla Basti, Veer Gabbar Basti, Suman Nagar Basti, Jakhan, etc. Approximately 450 ration packets, which include 5 kg flour, 1 kg pulses, 5 kg rice, 1 litre cooking oil, sugar, tea, surf, soap, spices and 300 food packets have already been given, so far. This will continue as per the need. The organisation also gave 200 food packets to SO, Thana Rajpur, Ashok Kumar Rathore.
The Aryan Group NGO has also distributed ration to the families of 80 newspaper vendors by visiting the Amar Ujala office. The Aryan Group canceled its 15th anniversary programme on 31 March and distributed rations to the needy with the money. The institution is a group of youth who are self-funded and donate some percentage of their earnings to the Aryan Group. Last week, the association, in collaboration with Seeds India Foundation, distributed ration at many places and explained the importance of lockdown to the public.
Currently looking at the long lockdown, the NGO intends to make masks at the respective homes and to distribute them among the public to increase the employment of women. This would generate income for women sitting at home. The volunteers of Aryan Group involved in the campaign are Niket Arora, Suposh Gupta, Vivek Naithani, Siddharth Rajwanshi, Shahana Azmi, Shabista Jabi, Ujjaval Sharma, Tripti Mahajan, Nikhil Jha, Upasna Verma, Arshad Islam, Prakash Rawat, Nitin Kanojiya, Shariq and Shakib. Those who contribute regularly are Nancy Jacob (Seeds India), Kusum Mohapatra, Anvesha Rai, Abdul Aleem, Rajpur Corportor Urmila Thapa, Anil Rauthan, Nisha Joshi, Vishwadeep Dey, Shabista Jabi, Daraksha Anwar, Naman Gupta, Ashish Sethi, Suruchi Nautiyal, Shivani Agarwal, Israr,Tanushri Negi, Ravinder Rawat, etc.

Aryan group is going to distribute the 3rd phase of rations to daily wagers as well as others during Ramzan.
