Asian, Moravian Schools win titles in Inter-School Football Tournaments at Cambrian Hall

DEHRADUN, 20 Sep: The finals of the 21st Col Shashi Memorial Inter School Soccer Tournament for boys and 1st Rani Chandra Raj Laxmi Rana Soccer tournament for girls organised by Cambrian Hall were held, here, today. Principal AK Das, The Asian School, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Krishna Shumshere JB Rana, President, Cambrian Hall Educational Trust, was also present. The first final for girls was played between Moravian Institute and The Asian School. Moravian Institute won by 3-2 goals in the tie breaker. Amani of Woodstock School was declared the Best Player of the Tournament, Rigzin of Moravian Institute was declared the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and Tsezin of The Asian School was declared Most Promising Player of the Tournament. The final for boys was played between The Asian School and Shivalik Academy. The Asian School won 2-1. Kaustubh of The Asian School was declared the Best Player of the Tournament, Hriday of The Asian School, the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament, and Bharat of Shivalik Academy, the Most Promising Player of the Tournament. Chief Guest AK Das, Krishna Shumshere JB Rana and Principal Dr SC Biala lauded the efforts put in by all the teams. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and the jubilant team of The Asian School lifted the coveted trophy for Boys, while Moravian Institute took the trophy for girls.
