DEHRADUN, 28 Jan: Atharv Nautiyal and his father, Anuj Nautiyal, called upon Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at CM Residence on Monday.
During the India-Australia cricket match on 7 January in Sydney, Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli had presented his batting pad to Atharv Nautiyal. The incident had been widely reported.
While appreciating Atharv’s spirit for the game, the Chief Minister said that the batting pad given by the Captain of the Indian team would prove to be an inspiration for the young boy in pursuing his interests.
He also appreciated that, on the basis of their talent, expatriates from Uttarakhand had made the state proud in foreign countries. These days, Atharv, along with his father, is on a visit to Uttarakhand and, on this occasion, he met the Chief Minister.
