Basant Panchami celebrated at Brooklyn School

DEHRADUN, 12 Feb: Basant Panchimi was celebrated in Brooklyn School with great fervor and enthusiasm on 9 February.
The entire school assembled to attain blessings from Goddess Saraswati to reach the epitome of knowledge. The programme began with the Saraswati Vandana. Anjali Rawat, Anshika Sharma and Astha Bailwal enlightened the students on the importance of Basant Panchami through their speeches.
A poem in Hindi, titled ‘Bahar Lekar Basant Aayi’, was recited by Priyanka Anand of class VIII-B. This was followed by a divine rendition of Shlokas, celebrating the harvest season of the festival. The Spring of Joy took over when a prayer ceremony worshipping Goddess Saraswati was led by offering of spring flowers by all the students and staff of the school and distribution of prasad amongst all.
The programme was anchored by Aishwarya Sachdev of class VIII. Director Nitin Grover applauded the efforts of the students and motivated the students to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting in dedicated efforts to achieve them.
