Dehradun, 4 Apr: The Indian Military Academy organised an Inter Battalion Quiz Competition, Spring Term 2019, here, on Wednesday. A total of five teams participated and Bhagat Battalion won the competition. A special feature of the event was a dedicated segment to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Field Marshal Philip Walhouse Chetwode, Commander-in-Chief of India in 1930. A round of questions on the life, achievements and contributions of the Field Marshal was dedicated in his honour.
In the series of events to mark the 150th birth anniversary, a special corner will be created showcasing the life and journey of the Field Marshal through paintings, sketches and photographs during the End of Term Arts and Photography Exhibition, Spring Term 2019. A seminar will also be conducted in Autumn Term 2019 in which senior Officers posted and settled in Dehradun would give an insight into his contributions from their perspective.
