Dehradun, 7 Mar: BJP’s State President Mahendra Bhatt today called on Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Rishikesh and invited him to ‘Dev Darshan’ in the upcoming Chardham Yatra. Bhatt requested the Union Minister to travel by road only, which Gadkari accepted. It may be recalled that Gadkari is currently touring Uttarakhand.
State President Bhatt thanked the Union Minister for the speed and quality of other schemes including the all-weather road project being built in the Char Dham region of the state. He said that these schemes will definitely increase tourism and business activities. New doors of employment would open. Bhatt said that there are immense possibilities for tourism in the state and with better connectivity even more tourists from across the country and abroad could visit these beautiful areas of the state. Bhatt also thanked Gadkari for expediting the construction of the Dehradun-Delhi elevated road.
The State BJP President said the proposals pending for repairing the roads damaged by calamity located in the hills should be approved on priority. In response, Gadkari assured Bhatt that early action would be taken by the Centre on all the demands submitted by the State.
