BJP Parshads win first match of 5th DPL

DEHRADUN, 16 Dec: The 5th Dehradun Premier League (DPL 2018) inaugural match was played today at Kasiga School. The Chief Guest on the occasion was senior social worker Aryendra Sharma.
DPL 2018 began with the release of colourful balloons. The first match was played between BJP Parshads and Congress Parshads. BJP Parshads won the toss and decided to bat first under the captaincy of Bhupendra. The total number of runs scored by BJP Parshads was 66 runs in 10 overs. Hemant scored the highest runs, 30 off 22 balls. Chunni Lal scored 26 runs off 31 balls and Vaibhav scored 10 runs off 6 balls.
Congress Parshads under the captaincy of Sagar only scored 45 in 10 overs. Nikhil scored 17 runs off 14 balls, Amit scored 9 runs off 15 balls, and Ankush scored 7 runs off 10 balls. BJP Parshads won the first match.
The second match was played between Udyog Eleven and DPL Eleven. The toss was won by Udyog Eleven, which decided bat first. Under the captaincy of Anshul, the team scored 47 runs in 16 overs. The highest runs were made by Sachin, 22 off 30 balls. Captain Anshul scored 9 runs off 14 balls, and Himanshu and Anil scored 5 runs, each. For DPL Eleven, the highest runs were made by Shubham, 19 runs off 12 balls. Anil Chandola scored 15 runs off 28 balls and Rohit scored 5 runs off 10 balls. DPL Eleven won the second match. The umpires for today’s matches were Abhishek and Mohit, while the scorer was Diwakar.
