Dehradun, 10 July: Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Spokesperson, Dr Sambit Patra, met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence in Dehradun, on Monday.
During the meeting, Dr. Patra discussed in detail with the Chief Minister Dhami details relating to Shri Jagannath Temple established by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 12th century in Sald village of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
Dr Sambit Patra urged the Chief Minister for regular worship at Shri Jagannath Temple, Uttarkashi, protection of the temple from ASI and proper arrangements for the enjoyment of Mahaprabhu. He also discussed in detail the beautification of the temple and other necessary facilities from the point of view of tourism in the temple area.
CM assured Dr Patra of all possible help in the development of Shri Jagannath Temple, Uttarkashi. He said that the Temple would be developed on the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
Dhami said that Shri Jagannath Temple is the heritage of the entire country along with the state of Uttarakhand. He said that it will be conserved and its new construction work and expansion will be done.
