BJP Tehri candidate Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah files nomination, holds roadshow

Dehradun, 26 Mar: BJP candidate for the Tehri Lok Sabha seat Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah filed her nomination here today. Before the nomination, Shah also held a show of strength with a mega road show. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also participated in the road show. The road show began from the BJP’s Mahanagar Office at the Parade Ground, here, and culminated at the District Collectorate.

Chief Minister Dhami led the road show along with party candidate Mala Rajyalakshmi from Tehri. During the road show, the CM, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, MLAs Khajan Das and Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal and BJP Mahanagar President Siddharth Umesh Aggarwal stood in an open SUV.

As the road show passed, thousands of the people gathered and greeted the leaders, who were seen accepting the support. The road show passed through Paltan Bazaar, Dhamawala, Raja Road, Gandhi Road and culminated at the District Collectorate compound. People and party workers showered flowers on the Chief Minister at many locations during the road show.

Dhami, later, left for Pauri on a chopper to address a public meeting there. Here he said that the country has always given a huge majority to the Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time, too, the BJP in Uttarakhand will ensure a bigger victory than 2019 in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Dhami also mentioned the continuous contributions being made by the Central Government in the development of Uttarakhand and Modi’s attachment towards the state and the benefits it is getting. Along with the major decisions and steps of the Modi Government were the UCC Bill and the Anti-Conversion Act and Anti-Copying Act of the Uttarakhand Government. He also mentioned various development projects and the welfare schemes, and claimed that all this became possible due to the Double Engine government.

State in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam, BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Tirath Singh Rawat, Minister Subodh Uniyal, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, party’s National General Secretary (Women’s Front) Deepti Rawat and others were also present. Even during the public meeting, Modi-Dhami slogans were raised.

After the road show, Maharani Mala Rajlakshmi, who reached the Collectorate for nomination, was present along with her four proposers, Gangotri MLA Suresh Chauhan, Mussoorie MLA and Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das and Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma Kau during the filing of the nomination. Apart from this, outgoing Mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal Gama and Dehradun Mahanagar BJP president Siddharth Aggarwal were also present. After the nomination, Maharani Mala Raj Lakshmi expressed gratitude to the top leadership of BJP for giving her the ticket again. At the same time, she asserted that she has full hope that the people of Tehri Lok Sabha will give her their blessings for the fourth time also.

Mala Raj Lakshmi Shah said that she has been winning the Tehri Lok Sabha seat for the last three consecutive times. This clearly shows that she is continuously getting love from the people. She was confident that she would receive people’s blessings in the future also.
