Dehradun, 17 Jun: BJP is soon going to host various organisational programmes with extensive public participation across Uttarakhand. This was stated today by BJP’s State Media In charge Manveer Singh Chauhan. He stated that, as per the instructions of National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, and under the guidance of State President Mahendra Bhatt, a state level team has also been announced for these programmes. He added that these programmes will be organised up to the booth level and will ensure public participation apart from the participation of the party workers and the leaders.

Chauhan said that, after the elections, the organisational programmes of the party are going to start soon beginning with Yoga Day on 21 June. Under this, the party will organise at least one yoga camp in each division and a yoga camp at the district level by all the frontal organisations and cells of the party. All the public representatives of the party will participate in such programmes. The public representatives of the party will also ensure maximum participation in the programme organised by public programmes like educational institutions, social organisations, etc. In these Yoga Camps, the importance of yoga will be emphasised and knowledge will be disseminated through display of videos and photos of people who lead the society and leading artists, sports persons and public representatives, etc.

Chauhan added that programmes will also be organised at the booth level on the occasion of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s Smriti Diwas on 23 June and his Jayanti on 6 July. On the Smriti Diwas of Dr Mukherjee, the party will offer floral tributes to his portraits at the booths, garland his statues at public places and organise lectures on his thoughts and sacrifice.

He added that, from 23 June to 16 July, the party is going to celebrate Harela festival by planting trees in the name of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at all the booths across the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign by planting a Peepal tree in the Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’, 5 June, 2024. Taking it forward, all the party workers from national level up to the Panna Pramukh level will plant a tree by standing with their mothers or by carrying their mothers’ pictures. Public institutions, school colleges, educational institutions and NGOs will be involved, ensuring maximum participation of citizens in Harela festival. In this awareness campaign, keeping in mind the goal of “Clean India, Healthy India”, a campaign will be run till 16 July to make ponds, wells and other water sources plastic-free. The party is also going to organise various programmes on the date of imposition of emergency, which is known as the black day in the country.
