Grand Celebration of Teej Festival:

Dehradun, 10 August: Vibrant Cultural Performances Enthralled the Attendees at the grand Teej Festival organized in Dehradun by Neha Joshi, the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. The festival featured traditional rituals, folk performances, folk music, and cultural presentations, creating a unique visual experience. The attendees participated enthusiastically in each performance. The event was graced by the presence of Mata Mangla, Founder of the Hans Foundation, who inaugurated the festival by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The colorful cultural programs captivated and entertained everyone.

Addressing the women present at the Teej Festival, Mata Mangla extended her greetings for the festival and congratulated Neha Joshi for organizing the event. She highlighted that it is a matter of pride for women to observe fasts to ensure the well-being of their spouses. Mata Mangla also prayed to Goddess Parvati for everyone’s longevity and emphasized the vitality of women’s strength. She noted that women, in various capacities, have given rise to great power and urged them to awaken and embrace their potential. She further remarked on the significant respect given to women’s strength in Uttarakhand.Neha Joshi spoke about how Teej is celebrated with a distinctive mountain flavor in Uttarakhand. Women celebrate the festival wearing traditional attire such as the Tehri nath, Jaunsari Thaanthu, and Kumaoni Pichora. While embracing every festival, they maintain their unique cultural identity.

The event was also attended by Nirmala Joshi, Kshama Bansal, Minister of State Vinod Uniyal, Dr Geeta Dawar Khanna, MLA Savita Kapoor, Sarita Arya, Madhu Chauhan, Anita Mamgai, Padma Shri awardee Basanti Bisht, and Reshma Shah amongst other distinguished women and matriarchs.
