DEHRADUN, 10 August: On the occasion of the local festival Harela, 93.5 Red FM Uttarakhand organized the “Go Green Season 2 Green Energy Expo” today at the Himalayan Cultural Auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, the Speaker, as the Chief Guest. In her address, Khanduri emphasized, “Green energy is not only crucial for our environment but also lays the foundation for a clean and healthy future for coming generations. We need to be more aware and proactive in this direction.” She congratulated Red FM for achieving the goal of planting one lakh trees in Uttarakhand during Harela. She also stressed the importance of not just planting new trees every year but also ensuring their survival. She remarked on the necessity of nature conservation, pointing out the current water scarcity issues during the monsoon and warning of future shortages if action is not taken. She noted the enthusiasm of the youth present and expressed high hopes for Uttarakhand’s future. At the end of the event, the Speaker visited various stalls at the expo, appreciating the innovative technologies and projects on display. She congratulated the organizers and participants for their exceptional efforts and stated that such events significantly contribute to positioning Uttarakhand as a leader in green energy.
The event was attended by Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, along with representatives from various government and non-government organizations, entrepreneurs, and other distinguished guests.
