Dehradun, 22 May: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State President Vipul Maindoli today paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and held detailed discussions regarding the welfare of the youth of Uttarakhand, the current activities of the Yuva Morcha, future plans, and enhancing youth participation in the development of the state.

On the occasion, Vipul Maindoli informed the Chief Minister that BJYM is continuously working to connect the youth of Uttarakhand with nation-building, social service, politics, education, sports, self-employment, and skill development. He stated that BJYM workers are actively reaching villages across the state to convey the concerns of the youth to the government and contribute towards resolving them.

He further stated that BJYM has been running special campaigns to connect young people with startups, self-employment opportunities, digital skills, and various government welfare schemes. Along with this, priority is also being given to leadership development, social awareness, and policy-oriented programmes to ensure active youth participation in realising the vision of “Developed Uttarakhand” and “Developed India 2047”.

Vipul Maindoli said that his primary objective is to ensure quality education, better opportunities, and strong basic infrastructure for the youth living in remote and hilly regions of the state, so that they are not compelled to migrate in search of better prospects. He added that he remains committed to raising the voice of the youth before the government and working towards their brighter future.

During the discussion, he also informed the Chief Minister about the difficulties faced by students of Government Higher Secondary School Kanol, located in Nandanagar block of Chamoli district. He pointed out that, after Class 10, students have to travel nearly 15 kilometres through forest routes to attend Government Inter College Boora for further studies, exposing them to the risk of wild animals. Maindoli requested the Chief Minister to upgrade the school to the Intermediate level. He stated that such an upgrade would provide students in the region with a safer and better educational environment and would reduce the need for children from remote areas to travel outside for education.

Chief Minister Dhami assured positive action. He also directed the officials concerned to take the necessary steps in this regard.
