DEHRADUN, 30 Nov: Vijay Kumar, former Director General Police, UP, visited Natraj: The Green Bookshop on Saturday at their new location opposite Van Bhawan on Rajpur Road.
Vijay Kumar is a recipient of the President’s Gold Medal twice for his role in eliminating terrorists. Son of a police constable, he rose to be the top cop of the State by sheer dint of merit and hard work. During his highly successful career, he had held several prestigious appointments including SSP, Nainital and Pilibhit. An MTech from IIT, Kanpur, Kumar is an internationally acclaimed archeologist and is currently the Editor of the well-sought after, International Journal of Archeology. He is versatile in Urdu and Sanskrit and is a walking encyclopedia on ancient coins in Indian history.
