DEHRADUN, 30 Nov: The annual prize distribution of Wynberg–Allen School, Mussoorie for the academic year 2024 was held at the Sir Kirby Laing auditorium. A number of students were awarded certificates and trophies in the presence of staff, parents and members of the board of management for excelling in their respective fields.
The guest of honour on the occasion was Bardan Sharma, head of Talent Management and HR technology HDFC Bank and an alumnus of the school.
The function started with a prayer, followed by the Junior School Choir presentation “For I know the plans He has for me”. The school’s annual achievement report for the year 2024 was presented by Principal L Tindale. The senior school choir presented their anthem “Gratitude”. After the choir chief guest, Sharma addressed the gathering and presented the prizes to the students.
The Chairmen’s award for exceptional stage presence and outstanding skills in public speaking went to Samridhi Singh and Achintya Bansal.
The award for exemplary conduct was given to Manya Singhal.
The award for the exceptional performance in quizzing went to Divik Aggarwal.
Akshat Treneja and Sharika Singh were jointly awarded the award for exceptional musical talent.
The CJ Singh Memorial trophy for the ‘Best Athlete’ was awarded to Abhijay Singla and Sheen Yunas. ‘The Wallace Shah Cup for the Best All-Rounder’ was awarded to Tejuswi Toliya. Divik Aggarwal received the award for the ‘Day Scholars of Outstanding Merit’. David Inglis Trophy for the Best Swimmer’ was awarded to Tejuswi Toliya. ‘The Carl A Phillips Prize for Creativity’ went to Achintya Bansal and Sankalp Aggarwal and the ‘TW Phillips Award for Integrity and Service’ was given to Manaya Singhal. The HG Meakin award for extraordinary dedication and loyalty went to Shreya Hissaria. ‘The Beryl Harding award for the Spirit of Wynberg –Allen’ for boys went to Shlok Agarwal, Achintya Bansal and Sankalpa Aggarwal and for the girls to Samridhi Singh and Hirenya Jain. The Cock House Cup for the year 2024 was awarded to Foy House. After the hymn “Lord Dismiss Us with thy blessing” the function concluded with the singing of the School song “Shout all Hail for Wynberg–Allen” and with a resounding rendition of the national anthem.
