Budget will lead to all-round development in U’khand: Subodh Uniyal

Dehradun, 21 Feb: Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal today stated that the state budget presented by the state government yesterday in the House will prove to be helpful in making Uttarakhand the best state with all-inclusiveness. He claimed that the budget is a roadmap for a self-reliant Uttarakhand and for the state to become a leading state in the country.

Uniyal asserted that under the leadership of young Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, new development works are being undertaken in Uttarakhand every day. The BJP always strives to fulfil the promises it makes to the people, he claimed,

Uniyal also observed that the budget will prove to be a milestone in making the state one of the leading states in the country. He added that many provisions have been made for the development of the state, including budget provisions for 37 new bridges, about 4000 km of roads with allocations for new roads, their maintenance, and security arrangements. A budget of about Rs 2000 crores has been provisioned for improving the Jal Jeevan Mission and the urban water system. There is also a budget allocation of about Rs 1000 crores for the Jamrani, Song, and Lakhwad dam projects.

The Forest Minister added that additionally, a budget of about Rs 500 crores has been allocated for startups, rural employment, prevention of climate change, Nanda Gauri for women, Matritva Vandan, and the Vatsalya Yojana. Under infrastructure construction, Rs 14,763.13 crores have been allocated in capital outlay, Rs 60 crores for climate change mitigation, Rs 15 crores for organising Khel Mahakumbh, Rs 10 crores for the Chief Minister’s Migration Prevention Scheme, and Rs 60 crores for the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme. For mega projects, there is a budgetary provision of Rs 600 crores.
