Cabinet Minister Joshi reviews Mussoorie constituency road development works

Dehradun, 14 Oct: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today held a meeting with officials of the Public Works Department and local public representatives at the camp office located in Hathibarkala to review the road development works ongoing in the Mussoorie Assembly constituency.

During the meeting, Minister Joshi sought progress reports on the ongoing construction works from the officials and instructed them to expedite the projects. He said that no negligence would be tolerated in development works related to public welfare. The Minister directed officials to give priority to the completion of key road projects such as Kyara-Dhanolti Motor Road, Motidhar-Marsana, Garh-Buranshkhand, Chalang Nagal-Hatnala, Chhamrauli-Sarona, Barlowganj-Chamasari, Sahastradhara-Khairiman Singh, Dehradun-Kimadi and Chhamrauli-Domkot Motor Road.

He instructed officials that discrepancies in road construction and pending issues related to forest clearances should be resolved immediately. He also directed the swift completion of works such as the widening of the Garhi Cantt-Dakra Road, Anarwala-Malasi Road and Santal Devi Road.

Minister Joshi further said that roads damaged during the monsoon, internal roads, bridges, CCA routes and reconstruction-related works should also be prioritised. Issuing a warning to officials, he stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of materials being used and all works must be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He added that maintaining transparency and quality in public welfare development works is a priority of the government, and departmental officials must work with full responsibility in this regard.

Present on the occasion were District Panchayat Member Veer Singh Chauhan, Additional Secretary Vineet Kumar, Chief Engineer Ranjit Singh, PWD Superintending Engineer Rajesh Kumar and other officials.
