Dehradun, 25 Jan: In a culinary ode to the cultural significance of rice, Café Delhi Heights at Pacific Mall, here, announced the “Rice Above the Rest” festival, set to captivate taste buds from 26 January to 16 February.
The festival showcases a specially curated menu that pays homage to the diverse cultural and regional importance of rice in India and beyond. From traditional favourites like Curd Rice and Hyderabadi Biryani to international delights such as Risotto and Chipotle Burrito Bowl, the menu offers a delightful journey of flavours.
Vikrant Batra, Founder of Café Delhi Heights, says that the versatility of rice makes it the most loved grain all over the world. Right from the Khichdi, to simple Pulao, to fragrant pots of rice and spice meats called biryani, rice is a feast beyond compare. Hence, Café Delhi Heights thought of curating a special menu to celebrate this very super food.
Chef Ashish Singh, Culinary Director at Café Delhi Heights, expressed enthusiasm about the festival, emphasising the meticulous selection of rice varieties to ensure an authentic and flavourful dining experience.
