Dehradun, 25 Jan: Kāsiga School has announced the inauguration of its “West Delhi Cricket Academy” in collaboration with the Dronacharya awardee, Rajkumar Sharma, renowned mentor to cricketer Virat Kohli. The inauguration will take place on 1 February at Kāsiga School, here.

This academy is open to aspiring talents of, both, boys and girls, welcoming children from all corners of the globe. To provide a comprehensive overview of its offerings and insights, a press conference has been scheduled at the Press Club, on 27 January.

Kāsiga’s Cricket Academy aims to be a beacon for aspiring young cricketers, fostering skill development and passion for the sport. With a BCCI-approved cricket field and top-notch infrastructure, the academy sets the stage for aspiring cricketers to embark on a journey of skill development and achievement.

Designed for girls and boys aged 10 to 18 years, the academy’s year-round coaching programme aims to ensure continuous growth and refinement of cricketing abilities. The commitment to individualised attention will be reflected in limiting players per net per coach, guaranteeing focused and personalised training experiences.

The academy will host a Cricket Summer Camp, allowing enthusiasts to hone their skills under expert guidance. Dual-batch fitness sessions will be conducted in the morning and evening, to emphasise the importance of physical well-being, ensuring players are in prime condition for peak performance.

The Academy is dedicated to providing real-world experiences. It will organise practice matches and domestic tournaments, offering every player a chance to test their mettle and grow through competitive play. Assessment reports for each player will provide valuable insights, charting progress and highlighting areas for improvement.

The Academy will operate with a tailored annual curriculum endorsed by Raj Kumar Sharma, adding a touch of expertise and credibility to the training programmes. Certified coaches will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. The academy will also emphasise the fusion of physical and mental aspects of the game, recognising the importance of a well-rounded approach to success. It aims to offer access to global academic resources, enriching the educational journey of young cricketers.
