Mussoorie, 3 Oct: Late last night, a car (MH 02-GE-3642), traveling from Mussoorie to Dehradun, lost control and fell into a 50-metre-deep ditch near Pani Wale Bend. Five people in the car were seriously injured in the accident. Upon receiving information, Mussoorie police and the 108 ambulance service reached the scene. With the help of locals, all the injured were pulled out of the ditch and immediately rushed to Doon Hospital, Dehradun.
According to police, all the passengers were traveling from Mussoorie to Delhi to attend a wedding. Mussoorie police stated that the car was carrying Farid Akram, son of Raees Ahmed, 42, a resident of Tughlakabad, Delhi; Ratan Gaud, son of Janardan Prasad Gaud, 48, a resident of Tehri Garhwal; Om Prakash Janardhan, 42, a resident of Tehri Garhwal; Mukesh Gaud, son of Janardan Prasad Gaud, 31, and Deshraj, son of Ramchandra, 29, a resident of Tughlakabad, Delhi. Police and rescue teams at the scene stated that the car suddenly went out of control and fell into a ditch. The cause of the accident is being investigated. The families of all the injured have been informed about the incident.
