Mussoorie, 29 Sep: Five people were injured when a car fell into a ditch on the Hathipaon Road here, today. One passenger was referred to a higher centre in Dehradun as his condition was critical. Mussoorie Police Inspector Arvind Chaudhary said that, late last night, information was received that a car went out of control and fell into a ditch near Hathipaon.
He said that as soon as he got the information about the incident, he reached the spot with the police force and fire service personnel and, with the help of local people, rescued the passengers. Four youths, Akash, Aman, Shashank and Karan suffered minor injuries, while the fifth, the driver, was seriously injured and was sent to Doon Hospital by 108 ambulance.
He said that all the five people are residents of Muzaffarnagar who had come to Mussoorie for a trip. He said that the relatives of the injured have been informed and the incident is being investigated.
