Dehradun, 5 Oct: The Chaudhary sisters from Dehradun, inspired by the Williams sisters, have been making remarkable achievements in the field of tennis. In a recent tournament organized by the All India Tennis Association, Chaudhary Meera Singh claimed the singles championship title in both the under-12 and under-14 categories at a competition held in Jind, Haryana.
Meera, who is only ten years old and studies at The Heritage School North Campus, showcased her talent throughout the tournament, displaying outstanding performance in all her matches. The director of the school, Siddharth Chaudhary, noted that apart from Meera and her sister Diya, there are no other players from India who have won national and international titles in tennis.
The competition featured participants from various states, including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Assam, Haryana, and Punjab. Meera expressed her gratitude towards her coach, Pritam Singh, for his dedication and support, and credited her success to her mother, Chandrika Chaudhary, for her unwavering commitment.
On this occasion, school chairman Chaudhary Avadhesh Kumar, director Uma Chaudhary, and other faculty members congratulated Meera, wishing her a bright future in her tennis career.
