Dehradun, 22 Aug: A contingent of 40 Post Graduate students of MSc Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry visited The Himalaya Drug Company on an industrial tour. They were accompanied by Prof Dr Vivekanand Bahuguna and Shivam.
The students were very curious about the laboratories and Museum, Herbal Garden, the manufacturing process, and a small documentary on the company.
Company President Dr S Farooq, while interacting with them, said that Chemistry was very relevant today and would remain so in the future. There had been a sea change in the field of medicines, especially Ayurvedic ones. He further elaborated that the cryonics technique was intended to save lives and greatly extend life span. He also interacted with the students. Prof Dr Ajay Singh thanked Dr S Farooq for the arrangements and hospitality.
