Chief Secretary Raturi orders making state guest houses available to tourists on payment basis

Dehradun, 30 Dec: For the fullest utilisation and commercial use of state guest houses in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi today directed making all the new state guest houses being constructed in Uttarakhand available to tourists on payment basis. Along with this, the CS has directed the government construction agencies to construct all government buildings as green buildings in which there will be mandatory arrangements for solar panels, rainwater harvesting, water recycling.

She has directed making water recycling mandatory in water supply schemes. The Health Secretary has been asked to provide the option of foreign languages to the students undergoing training in nursing colleges and to make arrangements for instruction in these languages. The Planning Department has been asked to issue instructions for the mandatory construction of basement parking in all the newly constructed government buildings.
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi presided over a meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee held at the Secretariat, today. Work on the athletics pavilion shed and seats in MPSC, Raipur, Clement Town Water Supply Scheme, construction work of Adarsh Residential School, Makhanpur, Haridwar, with English medium at secondary level for Scheduled Caste students in the state, construction work on a new state guest house in Pithoragarh, construction work on new state guest house in Tanakpur, Champawat, construction work of Tanakpur Bus Terminal, construction work on 32 houses for judicial personnel in Mohkampur Dehradun, construction of new nursing college in the campus of Government Medical College, Haldwani, was approved.
