Dhami holds top level review meeting of Garhwal constituencies

Dehradun, 3 Mar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today held a top level review at his official residence and reviewed the progress of projects related to various constituencies from Garhwal region.
On this occasion, he strictly directed the officials to work hard and sincerely and not delay the implementation of projects and schemes. He said that accountability of officials not delivering satisfactorily would be fixed.
The CM directed that special attention should be paid to the development of hill areas of the state for overall development. He added that they should take serious note and cognisance of the people’s problems brought to their notice by the local MLAs from the hills and take measures to resolve them at the earliest. He asserted that instead of blaming each other or other departments for any kind of delay, the officials need to work in mutual coordination with each other and with other departments so that the problems could be resolved at the earliest. He added that different rosters of long term and short-term schemes should be prepared and maintained.
The CM held the review meeting regarding the works and projects related to the constituencies of Tharali, Karnaprayag, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag, Devprayag, Yamkeshwar, Srinagar, Chaubattakhal, Narendranagar, Pauri, Lansdowne and Ramnagar.
He directed that the accountability of the officers should be fixed for delay in implementing the announcements related to those constituencies. All works should be completed within the stipulated time period. No carelessness or discrepancy would be tolerated. He also asked the senior officers to prepare a list of the officials who have been posted in one place for 5 years or more. Dhami said that the proposals that come from public representatives should be given priority and examined first. While examining the proposals, it should be clarified how long that proposal can take to be completed. He called for a new work culture in the state based on performance and delivery. He stressed that mutual cooperation also should be increased so that there is no communication gap that can lead to any unnecessary delay.
Reminding the officials that various problems related to their respective constituencies have been put forward by the MLAs concerned, the Chief Minister asked that these be taken up on priority basis and resolved at the earliest. He added that projects related to Jal Jeevan Mission should be speeded up. Under the prescribed process, a meeting of the Revenue Department and Social Welfare Department should be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to convert Tongia villages into revenue villages, he said.
The announcements made for promoting tourism in the hill districts of the state, health facilities and other basic facilities should be implemented within the stipulated time.
The Chief Minister was informed about the construction and improvement of roads by the MLAs, of projects related to strengthening of sewerage and drainage system, development of tourist sites and also about various other problems in their respective assembly constituencies.
