Roorkee, 25 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the ‘Namo Navdata Conference’ organised at Roorkee College of Engineering, here, today. The CM said that voters play an important role in strengthening democracy. He appealed to all the new voters to cast their vote and also make everyone aware of casting their vote. He said that the vote has the most importance in democracy. Voters are the destiny makers of the country. He said that youth will play the most important role in fulfilling the resolve of a developed India.

Asserting that the young generation has understood the value of voting and is participating enthusiastically, Dhami called upon them to cast their vote very judiciously and for the right candidate and party. He reminded them that the vote of the youth has ensured the consecration of the Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya.

The CM said that the voting percentage has increased in recent years because of the youth. Today, along with the Election Commission, everyone will also have to work to increase the voting percentage. He claimed that the Prime Minister has changed the definition of politics in the country. The opposition today is directionless and is just protesting on every single issue. Apart from this, nothing constructive has been done by the Opposition. Dhami claimed that the INDI Alliance that has been formed has already started disintegrating. For the BJP, the country is the foremost, followed by the party and finally are the workers.

He claimed that today the Uttarakhand government is taking difficult decisions because of each and every vote cast in its favour and therefore every single vote counts. He said that rampant irregularities were going on and mass copying in the state in the competitive examinations. However due to the support of the voters, the government has been able to weed out this problem.  The CM also claimed that the government is working to root out corruption in the state. He called upon every voter including the youth to support the Prime Minister and use his or her vote judiciously. He said that all the youth should exercise their franchise in order to strengthen the democracy. Those who have become eligible to exercise their franchise, should register themselves and exercise their right to vote.

On this occasion, MLA Pradeep Batra, District Panchayat President, Haridwar, Kiran Chaudhary, former MLA Sanjay Gupta, State President of BJP Yuva Morcha Shashank Rawat, District President of Yuva Morcha Gaurav Kaushik, District President of BJP Shobha Ram Prajapati and other office bearers of the BJP were present.
