Dehradun, 19 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today congratulated ADGP Amit Sinha and his coach Aman Vora for having excelled in the All India Masters Classic Powerlifting Championship.
Amit Sinha, Additional Director General of Police, and Senior Vice President, Uttarakhand Police Sports Control Board, has brought laurels to the State and Uttarakhand Police by winning a gold medal in the All India Masters Classic Powerlifting Championship 2023, held from 12 to July 16 at GMR Sports Arena, Rajam, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
He has notched up this achievement in the 120 kg weight category, with a total weight of 435 kg (180 squats, 95 bench press, 160 deadlifts). A total of 456 lifters from 23 states participated in the competition.
Along with this, Sinha has also been selected for the World Championship to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from 8 to 15 October, 2023.
