DEHRADUN, 19 Jul: Additional Director General of Police Amit Sinha met Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Wednesday. The Governor congratulated him on winning a gold medal in the All India Masters Classic Powerlifting Championship.
The Governor said it was commendable to win a gold medal in powerlifting while discharging the challenging responsibility as Additional Director General of Police. He described this achievement as a source of inspiration for the youth as well.
Sinha has recently won a Gold Medal in the All India Masters Classic Powerlifting Championship (120 kg weight category) held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, he has also been selected for the World Championship to be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 8 to 15 October, 2023.
