Dehradun, 27 Jul: Padma Shri recipient and orthopaedic surgeon Dr BKS Sanjay’s first book of poetry, titled ‘Uphar Sandesh Ka’, was launched by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, here, today. This book is published in Hindi by Bharatiya Jnanpith. The poems are written in simple words to convey deep messages to society on the various aspects of life.
Dr Sanjay said that every poem has a story behind it and a message to convey. Poems do not only show the thinking of the poet but also the approach towards society. There is a strong desire to bring changes in thoughts, mutual cooperation and conversation.
On the occasion, Dr Sanjay recited the poem, “Sapne Apke Aur Hamare”, from his book which was appreciated by the Chief Minister, who also congratulated Dr Sanjay on his literary effort and conveyed best wishes for his bright future and good health.
Senior litterateur Prof Dr Yogendra Narayan Sharma ‘Arun’, Urdu poet and Industrialist Dr S Farooq, litterateur Dr Muniram Saklani ‘Munindra’, Dr Satyanand Badoni, Poet Shrikant Sharma ‘Shri’, Bhavna Sanjay, Dr Pratik Sanjay, Gynaecologist Dr Sujata Sanjay, Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Gaurav Sanjay and Sonia Rawat were also present at the programme.
