CM Dhami lays foundation of Kedarnath temple in Delhi

Dehradun, 10 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed Bhoomi Pujan of a Kedarnath Temple in Burari (Delhi) and laid the foundation stone today. A new Kedarnath Temple is proposed to be constructed in Delhi.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the construction of Baba Kedar’s temple in Delhi will fulfil the wishes of all Shiva devotees. Burari area is mentioned in the ancient Hindu mythological texts. He added that this area is also associated with the Mahabharata period and that Baba Kedarnath’s Dham, the original identity of Uttarakhand and Sanatan culture in the holy land of Burari, will become a modern symbol of the country’s culture and faith. Dhami asserted that the new temple would strengthen the faith of Shiva devotees and Sanatan culture. This temple will work to connect faith to life, man to Mahadev, society to spirituality, and the present generation to the ancient culture of the country.

Dhami said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the flag of Sanatan culture is spreading all over the world. Under the able leadership of the PM Modi, the construction of Mahakaal Lok in Ujjain, the construction of the grand Kashi Corridor, and the construction of Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya have taken place. Not only this, the reconstruction work of Kedarnath and Badrinath is also underway at a rapid pace. He said that this period is of revival of the Sanatan culture in India. At present, official guests coming from abroad are welcomed by the government by presenting copies of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita to them.

The CM reminded that, this time, the main state level programme on the occasion of Yoga Day was organised in Adi Kailash, the purpose of which was to encourage people to visit the holy places of the state like Kedarnath Dham and Adi Kailash. He said that today the whole world has accepted importance of yoga. Dhami claimed that the state government is continuously working for the promotion of Sanatan culture. The number of devotees coming to Char Dham is increasing continuously every year. Along with the four Dhams, other religious places in Uttarakhand are also being developed in the same way. The state government is determined for the smooth conduct of the Char Dham Yatra. Under the Manaskhand Yatra, the development work of the mythological temples of Kumaon region is also underway. The state government is also finalising its preparations for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and Mela. He said that along with teaching the lesson of devotion and faith, Sanatan culture also instils a feeling of kindness, compassion, humanity and service to the nation in the hearts and minds of the people. He said that the Kedarnath Dham being built in the Burari area will inspire entire humanity.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Road and Transport Ajay Tamta, Mahamandaleshwar Kailashanand Giri Maharaj, Swami Rajendrananda, Gopal Mani Maharaj, MLAs Mahesh Jeena, Dr Pramod Nainwal, Sandeep Jha, Surendra Rautela and Jai Narayan Agarwal were among those present.
