Tehri, 26 Feb: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with public representatives and officials heard the Mann Ki Baat speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Collectorate Auditorium, here, on Sunday.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed in his Mann Ki Baat that maximum use of local products should be made during festivals. This would be a good effort in the direction of Vocal for Local. He said that promoting local products would enhance the livelihood of people.
The Chief Minister said that Puran Singh Rathore, a folk singer of Bageshwar district, who was awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Youth Award, was mentioned by the Prime Minister in his Mann Ki Baat programme. Despite being handicapped, Rathore has won gratitude for the work being done by him to promote the culture of Uttarakhand. The CM said that everything is possible even in adverse circumstances if the requisite passion is there. Dhami described the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat program as an inspiration for all. Through this programme, people also get information about those doing commendable work in various fields across the country, due to which others are also inspired to emulate them.
