Dehradun, 2 Jul: The grievances of 170 people were dealt with by Chief Minister TS Rawat at an interaction with those with complaints, here, today. Instructions were issued to resolve the problems within seven days. This was particularly in the case of areas where power lines are dangling dangerously low from the poles.
It was ordered that all encroachments that obstructed flow of water during the rains ought to be immediately removed. The meeting was held at the hall of the CM’s official residence. Forty-nine persons had made requests for financial assistance.
The CM asked officials to ensure feedback on action taken was provided to his office. The suggestions made by the people also needed to be taken seriously. Other complaints related to road construction, drinking water, sewer lines, scholarships, waterlogging, encroachment, etc.
Present on the occasion were Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, Mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, DM C Ravishankar, Dr Meherban Singh, Additional Secretary to the CM, and other officials.
