DEHRADUN, 5 Mar: Chief Minister TS Rawat inaugurated a block of new OPD building of the Government Doon Medical Hospital, here, today.
On the occasion, he said that, on the average, the hospital catered to between 2.5 to 3 thousand Out Patients in a day. The new building would come as a relief to the patients. The block would cost Rs 45 crores.
He claimed that every effort was being made to improve the medical services in the state. As many as 73 members of the faculty had been recruited for the Medical College. Under the Uttarakhand Atal Ayushman Yojana, the 23 lakh families of the state were being given Rs 5 lakh medical insurance per year.
