CM inaugurates Delhi-Pithoragarh service of Alliance Air

Dehradun, 14 Mar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami formally inaugurated the air service of Alliance Air between Delhi to Pithoragarh in virtual mode from his Camp Office, here, today. The Chief Minister said that fulfilling a long standing demand, the air service has been formally launched today. The operation of this air-service will further strengthen air connectivity in the border district of Pithoragarh. Besides, the border districts and the country’s capital will be directly connected. He reminded that it takes 12 to 15 hours to reach Delhi from Pithoragarh. With this service, passengers will get convenience and their time will be saved. Besides, there will be a huge increase in tourist traffic in Pithoragarh area. The Chief Minister said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development of the frontier areas is being continuously given top priority. With the cooperation of the Central Government, air service is expanding in remote areas of the state.

The Alliance Air aircraft will run regularly from Delhi Airport Terminal T-3 to Pithoragarh Nainisaini Airport from the month of April. The fare will be around Rs 7,000 and the journey will take about 1 hour.

On this occasion, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Additional Secretary C Ravi Shankar, Station Manager Alliance Air Aarti Sharma and other officers concerned were present.
