Dehradun, 14 Mar: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting at his Camp Office here, today, regarding extending the coverage under Employees’ State Insurance Act 1948 (ESI) to contract/general workers working in the state of Uttarakhand.
There was a detailed discussion regarding grant of coverage under ESI to the contract/general workers working in the state of Uttarakhand.
After thorough consultation on all aspects, the Chief Minister instructed the officers to set up a committee to be headed by Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram to study and submit a detailed report on all the aspects of the matter to the government. On this occasion, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram and Secretary Shailesh Bagoli and ADG Amit Sinha were present.
