Kedarnath, 11 Oct: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today offered prayers at Kedarnath and prayed for happiness and prosperity of the state and the people. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also met the seers present in Kedarnath during his stay there.
In addition to having darshan and offering prayers, the Chief Minister also inspected the ongoing reconstruction works in Kedarnath. He directed the officials that, in view of the convenience of the passengers, all possible facilities be set up in Kedarnath. All construction works should be completed within the stipulated time frame.
The Chief Minister also interacted with the devotees who had reached Kedarnath to obtain darshan of Baba Kedar.
The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrate, Rudraprayag, Mayur Dixit that proper arrangements be made for daily stay and darshan of up to 20,000 devotees who come to offer prayers at Kedarnath on a daily basis during the peak season. Dhami said that the government is committed to making available all possible facilities for the devotees coming here from across the country and the world. He said that those coming here should be facilitated to the extent that they carry a good message from Uttarakhand back with them.
The Chief Minister observed that a grand and divine Kedarpuri is being constructed under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A plan is also being made to develop the places near Kedarnath from the point of view of spiritual tourism. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many works are being done on the Gaurikund to Kedarnath pathway for the convenience of the devotees who prefer to walk up to Kedarnath.
On this occasion, Badri-Kedar Temple Committee President Ajendra Ajay, Ajay Semwal, District President, BJP, Dinesh Uniyal, Srinivas Posti, Senior Teerth Purohit, Vinod Rana were also present.
