Dehradun, 19 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level meeting at his official residence here today to review preparations for the 25th meeting of the Central Zonal Council, scheduled on 24 June in Varanasi. The session will be presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
During the meeting, Dhami directed officials to draft practical and innovative proposals aligned with the theme of ‘coordination between ecology and economy’. He said such measures should provide momentum to the state’s comprehensive, sustainable and balanced development.
Mentioning that children are the cornerstone of the state and nation’s future, he called for integrated and targeted plans for their overall wellbeing. He asked the ICDS, Food Security, Health, and Sports Departments to work in close coordination to ensure proper nutrition, access to health services, mental development, and active sports participation for children.
The CM also instructed the officials to ensure compulsory registration under Ayushman Yojana in all government hospitals. He emphasised that every citizen must benefit from the scheme and urged officials to give it top administrative priority.
Further, Dhami also called for wide publicity of the 112 Helpline to ensure swift public access during emergencies. The Women and Child Development Department was instructed to monitor cases of malnutrition and anaemia, conduct health improvement campaigns, and strengthen review systems at the district level.
Among those present at the meeting included Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, ADG Police AP Anshuman, Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, and DG, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari.
