Dehradun, 4 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will inaugurate the state level youth festival to be held at the Parade Ground from 5 to 9 January, tomorrow. After inaugurating the festival, he will also visit the photo gallery and various stalls at the Youth Festival venue. Various events and cultural evenings will be held on each day of the Youth Mahotsav.
This information was shared by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Rekha Arya at a press conference held in the Secretariat Media Centre here today. She stated that 150 stalls of start-ups, youth groups, self-help groups, handicrafts, textiles and agro products, etc., will be set up in the sports complex of the Parade Ground. Besides this, 25 food festival stalls based on local traditional and fusion food will also be put up at the festival venue. Along with the presentations by folk singers, there will be discussions with the youth by various experts on the topic of Youth as Job Creators on different days.
Arya said that the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the National Youth Day celebrations in Dehradun on 12 January, on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. Vivekananda Youth Awards will also be distributed by him on this occasion. Apart from this, the winners of the Youth Festival will participate on behalf of Uttarakhand in the National Youth Festival to be held in Nashik, Maharashtra, from 12 to 16 January this year.
