Roorkee, 9 Mar: COER University celebrated International Women’s Day with a grand celebration, honoring the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women in various fields. The highlight of the event was the presence of Wing Commander Anupama Joshi (Retd), a trailblazer who played a pivotal role in securing permanent commissions for women in the Defence Forces. Her inspiring journey and unwavering determination have paved the way for countless women in the Indian Armed Forces.
In her keynote address, Wing Commander Joshi shared her personal experiences, emphasising the challenges faced by women in the Forces, one of the most demanding and rigorous fields. She spoke about her struggles and triumphs, inspiring students and faculty members to embrace resilience, perseverance, and self-belief. Her words ignited a sense of motivation among young women, encouraging them to dream big, break barriers, and challenge societal norms.
As part of the celebration, COER University felicitated its esteemed female faculty members, recognising their dedication, hard work, and long-standing service to the institution.
