Dehradun 14 Sep: Uttarakhand BJP today accused Congress of being deeply engaged in anti-Sanatan politics. In a statement issued today, BJP’s State spokesman Suresh Joshi targeted the Congress over its alleged Anti Sanatan politics. Joshi alleged that Congress is playing in the hands of foreign powers and anti Sanatan forces as it does not speak about any other religion but leaves no opportunity to attack Hindutva symbols.

Joshi said that those who are in Uttarakhand taking out alleged Pratishtha Yatra for Kedarnath were deliberately silent over illegal mosques in Himachal. He claimed that Congress and its allies have been continuously attacking Sanatan Dharma. He asserted that this makes it clear that the Congress party is playing in the hands of foreign powers somewhere. Whenever the issues related to the Sanatan Dharma come up in public discussion, like Mathura, Kashi, Ayodhya, Kedarnath or Badrinath, the attitude of Congress and its allies has always been seen to be negative. Their leaders have objections on every issue related to conservation and promotion of Sanatan culture but they do not even open their mouth on what is happening in the churches, mosques and the madrasas, and they turn a blind eye to the activities of conversion being carried out in those places.

Attacking the state Congress leaders who he claimed, are pretending to conduct Pratishtha Yatra, Joshi added that Sukhu government of Himachal is engaged in saving illegal mosques in Shimla and Mandi. He asked, why not even a single local Congress leader has given a statement on this issue till now. Despite this, they are doing negative politics by continuously spreading confusion and lies about Kedarnath Dham. He expressed confidence that the people of Devbhoomi are watching such acts of Congress and will never fall into their trap.
