Dehradun, 18 Dec: The BJP has accused the Congress of acting under the influence of foreign powers. BJP’s State Media In charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today also claimed that the recent Congress protests are a reaction to their alleged anti-national activities being exposed in Parliament. Chauhan was addressing the media at the BJP State Headquarters here today. He claimed that the Congress agitation held today was rooted in lies and illusions. He alleged that the Congress leadership, driven by hatred toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi and nationalist forces, has adopted an anti-India stance and that is trying hard to destabilise the country’s economy by colluding with foreign industrialists and anti-national entities.

Chauhan further claimed that for the past three years, the Congress has been conspiring to disrupt parliamentary proceedings by raising issues based on false narratives propagated by foreign agencies. He specifically targeted Sonia Gandhi, accusing her of being a co-chairperson of the Forum of Democratic Leaders in the Asia-Pacific Foundation (FDL-AP), an organisation he described as having anti-national sentiments regarding Kashmir. Chauhan also alleged that Congress is collaborating with foreign industrialist George Soros, whom he accused of conspiring against India. He further questioned the timing of the Congress protests, linking them to recent developments in Parliament, where he said the Congress’s “anti-national policies” were exposed.

Referring to incidents such as the release of the Hindenburg report, Pegasus allegations, and reports on foreign COVID-19 vaccines, Chauhan claimed these were timed to disrupt significant developments and the parliamentary sessions in India.

During the recent Parliament session, Chauhan credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for dismantling what he described as Congress’s “web of lies”. He alleged that Congress attempted to manipulate public opinion by spreading rumours about issues like the Manipur violence while ignoring constructive debates in Parliament.

Chauhan criticised Congress’s historical approach to the northeastern states, accusing them of isolating the region and supporting extremist organisations during their decades in power. He claimed that BJP-led efforts to bring peace and development to the region are succeeding, which Congress finds difficult to accept.

Chauhan claimed that Congress’s anti-Sanatan and anti-development agenda is now evident, and their recent movements are nothing more than a failed attempt to distract from the anti-national narrative that has come to light.
