DEHRADUN, 14 DecCongress has announced a protest march to Raj Bhawan across the country on December 18 over the allegations levelled by the US Justice Department against Gautam Adani and his associates. Vice-president of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC-Organisation) Mathura Dutt Joshi on Saturday shared that the march aims at protesting against the alleged corruption, fraud, and deceit of the BJP-Adani alliance. In Uttarakhand, the PCC committee march has been scheduled at 10.30 am from the State Congress Office to the Raj Bhawan. The protest here would be led by State Congress president Karan Mahara.
Joshi, claimed that the allegations by the US Justice Department have exposed the alleged corruption and deceit of the BJP-Adani alliance, adding that these allegations confirm what the Congress party has already alleged.  He further claimed that allegations of corruption against Gautam Adani and his associates reveal a pattern of bribery, money laundering, and market manipulation, which tarnish the reputation of Indian business and finance. He said that the incident raises concerns about India’s corporate governance and regulatory oversight, potentially leading to a loss of trust among domestic and international investors,  hampering economic growth, job creation and overall development in India.
Joshi also criticised the Modi government for blocking Parliamentary discussion on the Gautam Adani corruption case and silence on the issue, which he interpreted as evading responsibility and accountability. He also reminded the media about the ongoing crisis in Manipur and claimed that  violence, firing, curfews and widespread chaos continue in Manipur along with loss of many lives. He also claimed that on one hand, the people of Manipur face an uncertain future and on the other, the BJP’s Central and state governments have failed to manage the situation effectively. The Prime Minister has not visited Manipur, and an incompetent Chief Minister remains in power, reflecting the BJP’s indifference to serious situation.
Joshi, said that with respect to these issues, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) had decided to organise Raj Bhawan rallies nationwide.  In Dehradun, the march will see participation from senior party leaders, MLAs, former MLAs, Assembly candidates, AICC and PCC members, affiliated organisations, department and cell presidents, state Congress officials, and district, metropolitan, block, and city presidents and officials, along with a large number of workers, he stated.
