RUDRAPRAYAG, 14 Dec: The Badri–Kedar Temple Committee has called upon pilgrims to participate in the winter worship of Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. It may be recalled that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Char Dham winter yatra on December 8 from Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath, the winter abode of Kedarnath Dham. Since then, pilgrims have been visiting the winter worship sites for darshan, with growing enthusiasm for the winter pilgrimage.
After the closure of the portals of Kedarnath Dham, the Panchmukhi Doli of lord Kedarnath reaches Panch Kedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. The Doli of the second Kedar, Madmaheshwar, also reaches Omkareshwar Temple for winter stay and worship. Devotees from across the country and abroad are getting darshan of the Panchmukhi idol of lord Kedarnath in Omkareshwar temple. Additionally, the Doli of the third Kedar, Baba Tungnath, is seated at the winter seat Marketeshwar Temple in Makkumath, where pilgrims earn the Punya of the winter pilgrimage.
Similarly, after the portals of lord Badrivishal close, deities Uddhav and Kubera stay in Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar, and the holy seat of Adi Guru Shankaracharya reaches Narsingh temple in Joshimath. Winter worship of lord Badrivishal is conducted at Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar and Narsingh temple Joshimath. BKTC chief executive officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal stated that, in line with the Chief Minister’s instructions, the temple committee is making continuous efforts to encourage the winter pilgrimage. He called upon the pilgrims to visit the winter worship places in large numbers and participate in the worship of lord Badri Vishal and lord Kedarnath.
The BKTC has informed that so far, more than3000 pilgrims have participated in the winter worship: 2230 pilgrims at Panchkedar Gaddi Sthal Omkareshwar temple, 65 at Yoga Badri Pandukeshwar, and 1069 at Narsingh temple in Joshimath.
