Dehradun, 1 Jul: The international convention on research done on science, engineering and mathematical models has started from today in online mode at Graphic Era University.
In this 2-day convention hosted by Graphic Era Hill University and Graphic Era Deemed University, more than about 150 researchers are going to present their papers on the topics related to mathematics and engineering.
In the plenary session, today, Professor Sheng Lung Peng from National University of Business at Taiwan presented his research paper titled “Community Evolution in Social Networks”. He talked about a new model that would help determine the relation between Social Network Design and Overlapping Community Structure by using mathematical algorithms. This would help in connecting with any social network very easily, bringing about a great change in the society.
While giving a presentation on how the exact forecasting of Electric Demand and Power Loading could be a revolutionary step, Prof S Nivas Singh from IIT Kanpur explained how the use of electricity, load in power grid, production of electricity, etc., is affected by several factors, according to which the demand for electricity keeps on fluctuating. He talked about the different dimensions of forecasting. He further explained how the value of electricity is determined by its demand. The consumer he can easily and effectively use the equipment that consume less electricity based on the forecast. In the same way, some new and positive changes can be made in the fields of production of Green energy based on forecasts of the speed of air, position of the sun, etc.
Prof S Sunder of IIT Madras talked about his research, titled “Particles in Fluids-Models and Methods”, and Dr Erdal Karapinar from Cankaya University, Turkey, presented his research on “Handicaps in the Metric Fixed Point Theory”.
At the inaugural ceremony, Dr Sanjay Jasola, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, while welcoming the participants said that Graphic Era is achieving new heights in the field of research and this conference will inspire new researchers.
Convenor Dr Neeraj Dhiman and Dr Anand Chauhan, along with research scholars, teachers and students, participated through online medium.
