Koshyari launches Telemedicine Service at Pithoragarh on Doctors’ Day

Mumbai, 1 Jul: On the occasion of National Doctors’ Day, today, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari launched the Telemedicine Service started by the Seemant Sewa Foundation, Pithoragarh, through online mode from Raj Bhavan, here.
Mentioning that doctors are life savers, he said doctors served as Corona Warriors and gave a new lease of life to millions of people during the pandemic period. Lamenting the growing tendency to attack and assault doctors, he said society must learn to respect them.
Describing Telemedicine as a revolutionary development, he said more doctors should join the voluntary service to provide healthcare benefits to common people living in the remote and hilly areas of Pithoragarh bordering Nepal and China.
Dr Swami Gurukulananda Saraswati, Dr Ashok Pant, President, Seemant Seva Foundation, Lalit Pant, Vice President, Dr HC Pant, CMO, Pithoragarh, and many doctors attended the programme.
