CS orders action against UPRNN for poor construction of ITI buildings

Dehradun, 4 Dec: Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed issue of a notice to the Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam (UPRNN) regarding incomplete and substandard construction of ITI buildings. CS has given strict instructions to issue notice for refund of payment and to register FIR against UPRNN in case of non-compliance of the notice.
Along with this, the Chief Secretary has strictly instructed the Uttarakhand Payjal Nigam to work with a long-term vision and holistic approach in all construction works.

While presiding over the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) regarding protection works at ITI Narsan (Haridwar), Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, while approving the project cost of Rs 187.30 lakh, has instructed the Uttarakhand Payjal Nigam to pay special attention to quality and timelines in the construction works. In view of the safety of the students studying in ITI, Raturi advised starting the construction work only after getting the technical test of this project done by the Irrigation Department within 10 days. She ordered completion of the construction works before the next monsoon season to ensure the safety of the ITI campus.
Additional Secretary C Ravishankar and officials of Payjal Nigam and related departments were present at the meeting.
